Kashmkash Zindagi Ki is a family drama aired on Doordarshan's DD National Channel, From 20 November 2006 to 3 July 2009, on Monday to Friday at 1.30PM. It was later rescheduled to 2:30 PM and later replaced by new serial Kasak. This popular daily soap was Produced by Ashok Wadhwa and Anoop Wadhwa , Written by Bobby Khan and Akashaditya Lama , Directed by Rajesh Gupta and Aloknath Dixit.

Kashmkash Zinadgi Ki is a story of a girl Aradhna (Played by Deepshikha), who lives with his father but tragedy comes in her life when Devyani (Aradhna’s adopted Mom) kills her father in an accident, Rajdev ( Aradhna’ adopted Father, Played by Anurag Desai ) took her responsibly and adopt her but despite the fact that Aradhana’s father killed my Devyani (Played by Lata Haya) she and rest of the family refuse to accept her. But Rajdev loves Aradhana very much more than his own daughter Mandira . Mandira (Played by Kishwar Merchant) loves Aradhna in stating they are like friends, but later Devyani their mother creates a rift between them by saying that Aradhna is trying to make difference between Mandira and her father than further story leads to sequences of miscommunication and misunderstanding between them. Mandira marries with Anirudh (Played by Amit Bahl) and Aradhna Gave a birth to her son Sahil (Played by Romanchak Arora). Devyani and Mandira ruins Sahil with the help with Rajlaxmi (Played By Sudha Chandran) and when Sahil marries with Tanushree (Played by Amrapali Gupta) they create misunderstanding between both and they divorced, Aradhna can’t do anything as his son hates her. Later Sahil married with Ananya . The story continues with Hateful and bitter relationship.


The Show was very popular among audience, especially with women audience. This show is one of the longest running shows of Doordarshan with 575 Episodes. Deepshikha who becomes TV star due to her role as Aradhana, while Romanchak Arora, who played role of Sahil, got many offers after this serial.

This serial chronicles the life of an orphan girl who is adopted by a family. The only drawback is that she doesn’t receive any affection from the family members other than the father. He is the only one who dotes on her and adores her. The cast includes Romanchak Arora as Sahil, Aradhana's son, Amrapali Gupta plays the role of Tanushree and Deepshikha portrays Aradhana. Lata Haya acts as Devyani, Aradhana's stepmother who hates her. She is always plotting against her and the main antagonist of the show. Anang Desai portrays Rajdev, Aradhana's stepfather who likes Aradhana more than his own daughter. Other supporting actors include Sudha Chandran, Kishwer Merchant, Shakti Singh, Shiju Kataria, Raj Singh, Natasha Rana, Zarina Wahab, Uttara Baokar, Amit Behl, Snigdha Pandey, Vijay Bhatia and Krishna Bharadwaj.

Amrapali was an Indian historical drama TV serial, directed by Ravi Kemmu in 2002.[1][2] It was a big-budget (Rs 100 million) story depicting the world of around 600 B.C. The serial was broadcast on the Doordarshan National Network every Sunday at 11am, starting on 30 June 2002.

The story's central character was a young woman, Amrapali, who was made the property of the state and elevated to a high position but forced into entertaining men.[3][4] Kemmu said at a press meeting that very little information is available about Amrapali, and her history is only known through the Jataka tales.

Amrapali was originally conceptualised as a serial of 104 parts. It called for a cast of 39 supported by a 500-strong crowd, 25 horses, several elephants, and 25 security personnel to guard a set that cost Rs 40 million.[5][6]


Personnel[edit]

The lead role of Amrapali was played by Shilpa Shinde. Her name was recommended by her brother, who was working with Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. Shilpa Shinde opted out of the show in October 2002 due to remuneration differences with the producer, after shooting 22 episodes of the serial. She was then replaced by Pooja Bharti.[7]

The serial was made by DVR Films, presented by L.R. Enterprises, researched by Bodhi Satva, written by B.M. Vyas, and produced by Dhillin Mehta and D. Venkateshwar Rao.[8][9][10][11] Before the serial went on air, the originally nominated director Vijay Pande was replaced with Ravi Kemmu.[12]

Plot[edit]

Amrapali is set in ancient Vaishali. It tells the story of the sudden transformation of a beautiful, innocent girl, Amrapali, into a mature adult.[13] Abandoned by her parents, Amrapali was found as an infant under a mango tree by Mahanaman. He took her to a village on the outskirts of Vaishali, where she grew up and fell in love with a man named Harsh.

Out of curiosity, she visits Vaishali to see the Phalguni Utsav organised every seven years to crown the new Janpath Kalyani of Vaishali. This title is given every seven years to the most beautiful and talented woman of the kingdom, who may then entertain the men of her choice.

Amrapali's visit to the utsav changes the course of her life. In a dramatic turn of events, she gets drunk and joins the group of beauties contending to become Janpath Kalyani. Later she works for the uplift of women and wages a battle to end the practice of Janpath Kalyani. In the process, she loses her beloved as well as her freedom, and embraces Buddhism.
